The Spirit of Christmas

“For the spirit of Christmas knows no race, no creed, no clime, no limitation of time or space. Yes, the spirit of Christmas breathes an eternal message of peace and goodwill to all men.”                              — President Franklin D. Roosevelt

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

During this special time of the year, I am filled with gratitude for all of our blessings.

I am thankful for my family.

I am thankful for our wonderful City of Irvine and for your friendship.

I am thankful for our brave men and women in uniform, and for our brave and dedicated police officers and firefighters.

I am thankful for our veterans.

I am thankful for our teachers.

I am thankful for our artists and musicians.

I am thankful for those who grow our food.

I am thankful for those who keep us healthy.

I am thankful for those who make us laugh.

I am thankful for those who make us think.

I am thankful for those who inspire us.

I am thankful for those who give us comfort in difficult times.

I am thankful for those who give their time to serve our community.

For me, serving the residents of Irvine this year as a member of the Irvine City Council has been a great joy and privilege.

Michael, Max and I wish you a Merry Christmas, a joyous Holiday Season, and a healthy and prosperous new year!

Sincerely,

Melissa
