The Irvine Child Care Project, a joint power authority between the City of Irvine and the Irvine Unified School District, is asking for proposals from licensed nonprofit child care providers interested in operating a child care program at IUSD’s new Loma Ridge Elementary School beginning August 22, 2019.
The selected provider will operate a program providing child care services for children from kindergarten through sixth grade, utilizing leased space from the Irvine Child Care Project.
The program would serve between 80 and 135 children daily (anticipated maximum licensed capacity of 120).
As a member of the Irvine City Council and an Irvine Community Services Commissioner, I have been a strong advocate for increased child care options in our City. I am very pleased to see this cooperation between the City of Irvine and the Irvine Unified School Board to add more opportunities for our youngest residents.
Applications for interested licensed nonprofit child care providers will be available beginning Monday, January 28, online at cityofirvine.org/iccp, or at the Child Resource Center located at 14341 Yale Ave., in Irvine.
Completed applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2019, to:
